On May 14, the memorial exhibition “Sakan and Piran” was opened in the Slovenian Gallery Herman Pečarič in Piran, dedicated to one of the most important people of the regional marketing and creative scene, Dragan Sakan.

Some of Sakan’s most important professional ideas and projects were created in that Slovenian coastal city – from moving to Studio Marketing Delo, through the development of the Saatchi & Saatchi network in the Balkans, to the founding of the New Moment agency and the IdeaCampus festival.

The exhibition presents a selection of photographs that document Sakan’s early creative years, his first encounters with Piran, as well as the period of his greatest professional successes that he shared with this city. Visitors had the opportunity to get to know the lesser-known details of his life and work through archival materials and photographs. Special thanks for his contribution to the project go to Marko Maršićević, Sakan’s longtime collaborator, who was also the co-curator of this exhibition. The “Sakan and Piran” exhibition will be open to visitors until August 16, 2026.
